We believe privacy notices shouldn't be a legal document no one reads. Below, we've organized our privacy practices by the actual scenarios in which you use our services. Whatever you do, we tell you how your data is handled.


Scenario 1: Registration and Login

What you need to do:
Provide your phone number or email address, set a password, and complete verification code validation.

What data we process:

  • Your phone number or email address

  • Your password (stored encrypted)

  • Verification code information

Purpose:
Create a unique account for you, verify your identity, and enable you to log in and manage your data.

Retention period:
From registration until 3 years after account cancellation (to fulfill Cybersecurity Law obligations).

What you can do:
You may change your password or update your linked phone number/email at any time.

Scenario 2: Profile Completion

What you need to do:
Fill in your nickname, upload an avatar, select gender, or enter your birthday/bio (all optional).

What data we process:

  • Nickname, avatar (image file)

  • Gender, birthday, region

  • Bio text

Purpose:
Help other users recognize you and help us deliver content recommendations that better match your preferences.

Retention period:
Retained until you proactively modify or delete it. You may edit or delete any profile field at any time.

What you can do:
All fields can be modified or cleared anytime. Avatars can be replaced or reverted to default.

Scenario 3: Browsing and Searching

What you need to do:
Browse the home feed, view content details, or enter keywords in the search box.

What data we process:

  • Content categories you browse, reading duration, interactions (likes, saves, comments)

  • Your search keywords

  • Your device model and operating system

Purpose:

  • Recommend content more aligned with your interests

  • Improve search result accuracy

  • Analyze user interest trends to enhance product features

Retention period:
Browsing and search history retained for the most recent 12 months. Data older than 12 months is automatically cleared.

What you can do:

  • Disable personalized recommendations in Privacy Settings (recommendations will become generic popular content)

  • Manually clear all or part of your browsing/search history in History Settings

Scenario 4: Content Publishing and Interaction

What you need to do:
Post comments, publish articles/updates, upload images/videos, or like/save others' content.

What data we process:

  • Text, images, and videos you publish

  • Your IP address at the time of posting (for location display)

  • Device information at the time of posting

  • Your interaction records (likes, saves, follows)

Purpose:

  • Display your content to other users

  • Show content posting location (based on IP)

  • Record interactions so you can view your interaction history

Retention period:
Published content remains visible until you delete it. After deletion, content will no longer be visible to others but may remain in server backups for up to 30 days (to prevent accidental loss).

What you can do:

  • Delete any content you've published at any time

  • Un-like or un-save content anytime

  • Block or report other users (related data used only for platform safety)

Scenario 5: Location-Based Services

What you need to do:
Enable device location permissions to use nearby people/nearby content/map navigation features.

What data we process:

  • Your precise GPS location (with authorization) or approximate location (based on IP address)

Purpose:

  • Show you nearby people or content

  • Recommend localized information (e.g., local news, nearby merchants)

  • Provide region tags for content publishing

Retention period:
Precise location data retained for the most recent 30 days. Auto-cleared after 30 days.

What you can do:

  • Disable location permissions anytime in device settings

  • Location-based features will be unavailable after disabling, but other services remain unaffected

  • View and delete historical location data in Location History

Scenario 6: Receiving Notifications and Messages

What you need to do:
Enable notification permissions to receive system push messages.

What data we process:

  • Device push token

  • Whether you opened notifications

  • Your interactions with notifications (click, dismiss)

Purpose:
Send you service reminders, security alerts, event information, and content updates relevant to you.

Retention period:
Push tokens are deleted within 30 days after you disable notifications or uninstall the app.

What you can do:

  • Enable or disable all or specific notification types anytime in system settings

  • Fine-tune notification management in App "Notification Settings" (e.g., receive only security alerts, not marketing pushes)

Scenario 7: Payment and Transactions

What you need to do:
Place an order for goods or services, select a payment method, and complete payment.

What data we process:

  • Recipient name, shipping address, contact phone number

  • Order information (product names, quantities, amounts)

  • Payment method and results

  • Transaction timestamp

Purpose:

  • Process orders and facilitate delivery

  • Handle refunds and after-sales services

  • Fulfill tax and financial compliance obligations

Retention period:
5 years from transaction completion (as required by E-Commerce Law).

What you can do:

  • View all historical orders in Order Center

  • Request refunds or after-sales support after completion

  • Deletion is not supported within the statutory retention period; system auto-cleans after expiry

Scenario 8: Customer Service and Feedback

What you need to do:
Contact us via online chat, phone, or email to submit questions or suggestions.

What data we process:

  • Contact information you proactively provide (phone number, email)

  • Descriptions of your issues, screenshots, or screen recordings

  • Your account information (for identity verification)

  • Call recordings (for phone support, with your consent)

Purpose:

  • Respond to your inquiries and resolve your issues

  • Improve our services and product quality

  • Handle disputes or complaints

Retention period:
12 months after issue resolution for service tracking and quality improvement. Call recordings retained for 6 months.

What you can do:

  • Request deletion of supplementary materials (screenshots, recordings) after support interaction

  • Inform the representative if you do not wish to be recorded; we will take written notes instead

Scenario 9: Account Cancellation

What you need to do:
Submit a cancellation request in "Account Security" and complete identity verification.

What data we process:
All account-related data (identity information, profile, published content, usage records, transaction records, etc.).

Purpose:
Terminate your account and process your personal information in accordance with legal requirements, as per your request.

Retention period:

  • Most data is deleted within 7 business days after cancellation confirmation

  • Data legally required for retention (e.g., 5-year transaction records) is separately archived until the statutory period expires

What you can do:

  • Export or back up your data before cancellation

  • Once cancellation is completed, the account cannot be restored — please proceed with caution
